West High Spring Production
On Thursday 2/4/21 at 2:30 PM and Friday 2/5/21 at 2:30PM auditions will be held for West High's Spring production. This will be held over ZOOM at the following address: https://zoom.us/j/96301521536?pwd=bTIvOEkram9pWHNMMVVnRzJhZDY2QT09 Students should come prepared to perform a 60 second monologue and 15 bars of an upbeat musical theatre song (NO pop!) Make sure you provide music accompaniment. Please be sure to prepare appropriately. Send questions to dblock@midnightsuntheatre.org. Auditions are open to ALL West Students and Staff. Homeschool and other students are welcome to audition as well, but selection of those students will be considered on a case by case basis. Please fill out the online AUDITION FORM below.
SHOW DESCRIPTION
This production will be a streamed variety Revue. It will involve Monologues, musical pieces and possibly small scenes. We are EXTREMELY limited by covid protocols for this production. If selected, each cast member will be individually consulted to determine their specific performance piece.
REHEARSALS
All rehearsals will be over Zoom. Expect them to be in the evenings on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6pm - 8pm. Our first rehearsal will begin 2/11. ALL CAST & CREW will be expected at the 2/11 rehearsal. Following that, individuals will only rehearse when they are specifically called. All memorization is expected to happen outside the rehearsal process on your own time. It is not known yet what the tech requirements will be for this performance. Likely they will be minimal and electronic/internet related. A Stage Manager and Assistant Director will be needed for this show. If you are interested in one of those positions, please send me a letter of intent.
COVID PROTOCOLS
All rehearsals will be scheduled via Zoom. If you do not have Zoom access, an accommodation will be figured out. During "tech" week, each performance will be individually filmed using ASD established covid rules which will include individually scheduled filming slots, separate entrances and exits, cleaning between appointments, masking and social distancing. Participants may also be required to show a negative Covid test prior to their filming appointment.
