How Can I Help?
West High Theatre receives no annual budget from the Anchorage School District. All of our performances and activities are funded through ticket sales and gracious donations from the public.
Performances usually cost about $3000.00 to produce. But musicals and special events are much more expensive. A typical musical, for example, can run as much as $15,000.00 to produce. Our typical yearly expenses are between $20,000 and $25,000 each year.
Ticket sales usually cover our normal expenses, but are no match for the unforseen capital expenses we must sometimes accomodate. New microphones can run as high as $1,000.00 a piece for example.

Production Sponsorship
Businesses and individuals can sponsor an entire production with a $1,500 contribution. In return, you will receive sponsorship credit on the play poster, a full-page ad in our program insert, an announcement prior to each performance, an autographed poster from the cast and crew, and a special thank you plaque. Your group will also receive 10 free tickets to each performance of the production run. Production Sponsorships must be arranged 30 days prior to performance dates.
Performance Sponsorship
Businesses and individuals can sponsor a single performance of a production with a $500 contribution. In return, you will receive a full-page ad in our program insert, an announcement prior to your sponsored performance, an autographed poster from the cast and crew, and 10 free tickets to your sponsored performance.
Program Advertising
Businesses and individuals can receive advertising in our production programs. As many as 4000-8000 people attend West productions each year. Putting your business in our program is a great way to get your message out to your customers. Your advertising expense pays for your ad to appear in our program for the full season! For $100.00 a business card size ad will appear in our program. Half-page ads are only $155.00 and full page ads, our best value, are only $200.
Direct Contribution
Perhaps you would like to contribute to our group but do not desire to receive advertising or a sponsorship. Send your contribution directly to our program and we will distribute your gift to the projects that need it most. Or, select one of the projects from our "Wish List" and your gift will apply directly to that item only.
